Bavarian Forest: golfing paradise
The Bavarian Forest is an ideal destination for a day trip - and not just in winter. The forest offers many possibilities in summer, too.
Enjoy the special flair of the Bavarian Forest and dedicate yourself to your favourite sport. For example, enjoy a fantastic massage in the morning, then a round of golf in the afternoon and, finally, let the evening draw slowly to a close in the beer garden and enjoy the sunset. -The perfect combination of golf & spa.
The Hotel Kramerwirt is situated centrally between several magnificent golf courses and leaves nothing to be desired when choosing a course.
Partner clubs (20% unlimited green fee discount): Golfclub Furth im Wald (ca. 54 km)
The panorama golf course in Furth im Wald has been in existence since 1986 and offers an 18-hole course with driving range and a pitching and putting green. The course is beautifully situated only a few kilometres from the Czech border in the midst of one of the loveliest landscapes in the Bavarian Forest. Surrounded by mature trees and numerous pond biotopes, panoramic views of the Bavarian Forest mountains open up to the golfer in several places.
Experience "golfing in harmony with nature" on the golf course in Furth im Wald.
Deggendorfer Golfclub e.V. (approx. 30 km)
The Deggendorfer Golf Club e.V. on the Rusel was founded in 1981. The scenically impressive foothills of the Bavarian Forest start with the Rusel, 8 km away from Deggendorf. An 18-hole golf course of exceptional beauty is located at an altitude of 840 m.
Wonderful views open up deep into in the Bavarian Forest to the Lusen, Osser, Rachel and the highest mountain, the Arber with a height of 1456 m.
Golfpark Oberzwieselau (approx. 28 km)
Next to the 400-year-old driveway lies the spacious clubhouse, located in the centre of the 18-hole championship course, which is integrated harmoniously into the landscape in the immediate vicinity of Castle Oberzwieselau.
An area of 100 hectares owned by the Gräflich Mellin-Wolffersdorf Administration, which was previously used for agriculture and forestry or as a park, formed the ideal basis for the landscape-integrated golf park, for whose construction only minimal earthworks were required. Natural obstacles in the form of ancient trees, rushing brooks and quiet ponds make each hole in its individual beauty a different experience.
Golfclub Gäuboden e.V. (approx. 48 km)
The Gut Fruhstorf golf course near Straubing is one of the most beautiful golf courses in the region. In addition to an 18-hole golf course, you will also find here a somewhat smaller course (6 holes) for budding golfers and all those who still want to be.
Golfclub am Nationalpark Bayrischer Wald (approx. 49 km)
The course at the Golfclub am Nationalpark Bayerischer Wald e.V. is shaped by the unspoilt scenery of the first German national park. It is situated in the heart of one of the leading European recreational landscapes. Those looking for peace and relaxation will get their money's worth here.
The golf course shows that nature conservation and golf are by no means mutually exclusive. In fact, it maintains its close-to-nature image through the creation of protection zones for flora and fauna. Wild animals and birds of all kinds are at home on the course. Fairways and holes are named after them. So you can play tactically on the “Fox Fairway” or finish the “Bear Hole” with a successful putt.
